This piece is meant to represent the unwanted hold man has on woman. The hands are coming out of the shadows to hold the woman back and prevent her from moving forward. The color of the woman is a neutral color to show that it is not specific to any race but it is just about gender and the dominative stance man takes over woman. The flowers place on the woman is to show delicacy and nature that is destroyed by the man, the colors of it represent the black of the hands contaminating the flower.
